Created by a pastor who has been working on church websites for 20 years.
I (Ryan Hayden) have been serving as a Senior Pastor in Mattoon, IL since 2011. I started working on church websites back in 2004, teaching myself to code while drinking coffee in Barnes and Nobles. Eventually, I figured it out, and I've been doing both ministry and web development my entire adult life. I can honestly say, few people in the world have thought more about making church websites than I have.
First Church Website
I created my first church website as a junior in college. I had to borrow my girlfriend's (now wife of 18 years) laptop because I didn't have one.
Started Freelancing
After graduating from Bible College, I bought my own computer and started freelancing as a web designer, working mostly on church websites.
Starts and stops
I tried and failed many iterations of church website companies (Sites for Church, Simple Church Tools, Church Tools, etc.) eventually founding a sucsessful software agency and building apps for other entrepreneurs.
Launching UCW
After stepping away from my business, I created a new website platform mostly for the church where I pastor. Enough people have showed interest that I've decided to start selling church websites again.
Church is our life
From the time I was seventeen, ministry has been the biggest part of my life. From Bible college, to ministry at camps, Christian schools and finally the pastorate, our whole life has revolved around church.
A portion of every website project goes to a mission trip fund. I love preaching and teaching for missionaries.
